Scandinavian Shipping & Logistics AB, owned by the Swedish transport group Greencarrier AB, has merged with Neptumar AB, which is owned by the German transport group Menzell & Döhle. The new company will operate under the name of Scandinavian Shipping & Logistics AB with offices in Gothenburg and Norrköping.

Joachim Lagerstedt, Managing Director of Scandinavian Shipping & Logistics AB, said the new company will be able to offer a wider range of services and products to its customers. “Our merger with Neptumar in Sweden and the coming cooperation with the Menzell & Döhle group in Germany is a very important step in the development of Scandinavian Shipping & Logistics,” he said.

According to the company, the greatest strength for the new Scandinavian Shipping & Logistics AB is its representation of more liner agencies to cover a wider service portfolio. But it will also benefit from further synergies in other fields, including project shipping.

The new company will continue to operate in two locations: Gothenburg with eleven staff and Norrköping with eight staff.

The agreement was signed in Hamburg and applies from September 30, 2013.
