Samskip, DC Extend Brazilian Logistics Offerings

Samskip Logistics and freight forwarding force DC Logistics Brasil have signed a national representation agreement that creates a new partnership seeking to grow the containerized business in Brazil.
 
The collaborative arrangement establishes a new structure within which Samskip Logistics will operate throughout Brazil, also building on the financial and corporate strengths of both organizations. With immediate effect, the DC Logistics Brasil office in Salvador is integrating the existing local Samskip technical team, taking over all business previously undertaken by Samskip Salvador. DC Logistics will support all future Samskip Logistics activities in Brazil via its 11 offices nationwide.
 
Founded in 1994, DC Logistics Brasil has over 200 employees and is recognized as a main player in the country’s freight forwarding industry. It offers a wide portfolio of forwarding and logistics services, with specific insights in developing freight opportunities related to fresh and frozen produce, textiles, wine, coffee, tyres and ceramics. For its part, Samskip Logistics has targeted refrigerated transport volumes as a specific area for growth.
