Safebridges Offers Course for EU-Captains

Safebridge, a provider of learning products for the maritime industry, has announced the release of its latest course for German maritime legislation for captains from EU-countries being in command of a German fl agged vessel. The course is required by § 20 III of the Seafarer’s Competency and Qualifi cation Order (SeeBV).

It is fully approved by the German Federal Maritime Hydrographic Agency (BSH) and was developed in close co-operation with the German fl ag stakeholders.

The 9-day classroom training course consists of 6 chapters and an introduction into German language. The 6 chapters cover all teaching contents required by the curriculum of Annex 2 of the Seafarer’s Competency and Qualifi cation Order. They were created in a way to procure advanced knowledge of German maritime legislation and enable participants to perform their duties on German fl agged ships for protection of human life, maritime environment and material assets by application of the respective German legal regulations.

The course is offered regulary in the Safebridge Training Center in Hamburg but can also be conducted at customers premises on request.
