The Port of Rotterdam Authority has opened a second secure trailer car park on Theemsweg in the Botlekgebied, which enjoys a central location. There are 107 slots for loaded and empty trailers.

The Theemsweg facility is a follow-up to the first dedicated trailer car park in the Waalhaven Zuid business park (eastern port area), where virtually all 71 parking spaces are let. The trailer car parks are also an ideal place for uncoupling. Trailer and cargo are kept behind a fence and monitored by CCTV. The car park can be accessed 24 hours a day. ADR trailers and traction vehicles may not use the facility for parking.

By coupling/uncoupling trailers and chassis as needed, it is possible to respond more quickly to roadworks and congestion, optimise driving and waiting times and it is safer. It also means that Euro 6 trailers can be used as efficiently as possible on the Maasvlakte. To use the parking spaces, you need an annual season ticket, which costs €1000 and contains at least five access passes for your own fixed parking space.

PCH Parking & Facility Services is managing the secure trailer car park on behalf of the Port of Rotterdam Authority.
