RigNet Make Executive Appointments

Morten Hagland Hansen appointed Vice President - Business Services, & Boyd Skelton as  Director – Products and Solutions.


RigNet, Inc., a leading provider of managed remote communications solutions to the oil and gas industry made the new appointments and Mark Slaughter president and CEO of RigNet said: "I am delighted to be announcing these two leadership appointments; Morten Hansen has demonstrated success in several important roles over his long tenure at RigNet. Coming out of a planning role, Boyd Skelton is well-positioned to lead our renewed efforts to develop innovative solutions for our oil and gas customers. I look forward to what these two leaders will contribute in their new roles."

In his new role, Mr. Hansen's primary responsibility will be to work across the sales, engineering, operations, products/solutions and marketing functions to ensure seamless workflows as RigNet develops, provisions and supports remote communications solutions around the world. He previously served as Vice President, Global Engineering and Operations. He has more than 15 years of experience in information technology and telecoms engineering, design and deployment.

Mr. Skelton previously served as Manager – Planning and Corporate Development. He is now assuming a new and important role developing and managing products and solutions for RigNet's customers that meet their current and anticipated needs. Mr. Skelton has a BA in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Rice University's Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business.

RigNet, based in Houston, Texas, RigNet provides solutions ranging from fully-managed voice and data networks to more advanced applications that include video conferencing and real-time data services to remote sites in over 30 countries on six continents, effectively spanning the drilling and production industry.
