RZ Carrier and Rickmers-Line, both companies of Zeaborn Group, have successfully undergone the process of certification of their integrated management system for Quality, Health and Safety and Environment (QHSE) according to the latest standards of ISO 9001:2015 for the Quality- and Process-Management ,OHSAS 18001:2007 for the Health & Safety Management System, and ISO 14001:2015 for the Environmental Management System.

Audits by DNV GL took place in Hamburg on 9 and 10 October. The new certificates will be released for RZ Carrier GmbH & Co. KG including Rickmers-Line GmbH & Co. KG with the scope of “Management of worldwide liner shipping specialized in break bulk, project shipments and heavy lifts”. The certificates have a validity of three years.

RZ Carrier and Rickmers-Line are thus amongst very few shipping companies in the multipurpose sector, which have their Quality and Environmental Management Systems certified according to the newest demanding 2015-standards.

Hans-F. Illner, Director Corporate Development at Rickmers-Line commented on the successful certification process: “Following the takeover by Zeaborn in April it was a logical step to bring forward the re-certification by one year and to include RZ Carrier, which in our new business structure acts as the carrier company also for the liner services of Rickmers-Line. Our already existing Process Management tool and intranet enabled a very smooth transition to the latest 2015-standards for ISO 9001 and 14001. Our liner services are known for reliability and quality. It is thus of paramount importance to further develop our integrated management systems, ensuring transparency in workflows and processes.”
