Operations are shut at the Port of Beaumont Terminal and there is no vessel movement, said the port's chief of police on Wednesday.

The port has no ships in the channel, said Police Chief Stephen Davis, noting the waterway is shut down. He said he hopes they will reopen in two to three days and are awaiting the guidance of the Coast Guard.
