Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, inaugurated today a new office building of Gazprom Export in St. Petersburg.

Taking part in the ceremony were Mikhail Mokretsov, Vice-Governor of the city of St. Petersburg, Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Elena Burmistrova, CEO of Gazprom Export, and city authorities.

The new HQ is located in the city center, the Ostrovskogo Square, and occupies the reconstructed premises built in 2006. During the upgrade the building was redesigned and its bearing structure was reinforced according to international standards.

“We've opened Gazprom Export's brand new and modern HQ in the 'most European city of Russia'. It's very symbolic as Europe will be in greater need for Russian natural gas. St. Petersburg is changing into a major international center for natural gas sales. One-fourth of Gazprom's Administration staff has already been relocated to St. Petersburg,” said Alexey Miller.
