Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) announced the opening of its new mooring station training facility, designed to provide seafarers and cadets with experience of this crucial and potentially hazardous area of operations.

The facility is based at Subic Bay in the Philippines, and designed to work in conjunction with a interactive training portfolio comprising video learning and class discussion around case studies from real life scenarios.
Captain Joseph Raluta, Director of the BSM Maritime Training Centre in Manila , said, “The facility contains a complete range of equipment identical to that which our personnel will encounter on board a vessel. This provides for a comprehensive training experience of mooring operations and associated safety conditions.”
