Aiming to boost its operations in the Asia-Pacific territory, control instrumentation and electrical engineering specialist CMR Group has invested in a new Korea office.
CMR Group Korea has opened in Busan under managing director Brian Kim who will be leading the company’s operation there.
According to the company, the initial focus will be on new business development as CMR returns to the domestic market, looking after sales and marketing for the group’s range of products for the marine, engine and nuclear business sector.
CMR counts shipyards SHI, DSME, STX O&S, STX HI and HHI as customers alongside engine builders such as STX Engine and Doosan Engine. The company also works in the nuclear sector for KHNP.
Brian Kim said CMR is gearing up its activities and will be targeting steady growth over the next few years on the back of the huge potential for its products in Korea.
“Marine, engine and nuclear sectors are all big markets for us,” said Brian Kim. “A key focus will be to provide a high quality and fast service to secure the needs of our customers. They require quick and reliable support, so we will be dedicating ourselves to showing customers how innovative our products are and the added value they bring in highly competitive sectors.”
