The Japanese container shipping company, headquartered in Tokyo and Singapore  Ocean Network Express (ONE), recently held an inauguration ceremony with PSA Singapore (PSA) for the Magenta Singapore Terminal (MST).

The joint venture between ONE and PSA will operate four mega container berths at Pasir Panjang Terminal with a combined annual handling capacity of 4 million TEUs, said a press release from ONE, famous for its colorful magenta livery.

MST is set  to operate four mega container berths at Pasir Panjang Terminal with a combined annual handling capacity of 4 million TEUs.

This strategic long term partnership was announced in December 2018, to provide capacity and scale of operations in meeting ONE’s needs of establishing Singapore as its transhipment hub in Southeast Asia, with high-quality services and enhanced productivity through the industry-leading port infrastructure and cutting-edge technologies, the release said.

The Magenta Singapore Terminal is named after ONE’s distinctive brand identity and the inauguration also saw ONE’S 14,000 TEU-class magenta container ship, ONE STORK, berthed at the new joint venture terminal.
