Ocean Signal has appointed its first dedicated U.S. Sales Manager to manage the company’s expansion in the country.

With a background in the marine electronics and fishing industries, maritime sales manager Joe Bauschka is handling increased demand for Ocean Signal’s rescueME and SafeSea ranges of recreational and commercial communication and safety products, and a growing distribution network in the U.S.

Bauschka previously worked as regional manager for Navico Inc for 17 years, before moving on to key sales roles at Pure Fishing and Simrad Fisheries.

Bauschka will specifically focus on Ocean Signal’s compact rescueME range of safety products, including the new DAME-nominated rescueME MOB1, the rescueME EDF1 Electronic Distress Flare, rescueME PLB1 and rescueME EPIRB1, plus the company’s SafeSea range of GMDSS products, consisting of the S100 SART, V100 VHF and E100G EPIRB.

Acquired by Drew Marine Ltd earlier this year, Ocean Signal now operates as a unit of Florida-based ACR Electronics, Inc., a global leader in safety and survival technologies. The companies combine two of the most highly experienced electronic engineering teams in the marine communication industry to offer a comprehensive portfolio of reliable survival gear.
