Nortech Solutions Launches In The North East

Nortech Solutions, an engineering design and project management company, has launched in the North East with ambitious plans to generate jobs and bring prestige projects to the area.

The company has been set up by Bryan Bunn, an engineer with extensive experience on an international scale in the oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, energy and iron and steel sectors.

Nortech Solutions has the capabilities to provide a fully integrated technical service through the life cycle of a project from concept through to completion.

Mr Bunn, Nortech Solutions’ Managing Director, has announced the first tranche of key appointments at the company’s headquarters at Wynyard Business Park in the Tees Valley.

With a CV including world-leading companies such as DuPont, ICI, Kvaerner, BP and Amec, Mr Bunn has ambitions to recruit up to 25 people within the next 12 months.

His hand-picked team boasts a range of engineering skills and expertise, having produced world-class results for a wide spectrum of blue-chip companies across the globe. The initial Nortech Solution contingent comprises of the following:

Mr Richard Wheeler – Project Manager
Mr Rob Dickens – Senior Electrical Instrumentation Control Engineer
Mrs Gill Johnson – Senior Administrator
Miss Claire Bishop – Project Assistant.

A significant early success for Nortech Solutions is being appointed as the authorised UK agent for Paul Wurth, a world-leader in the design and supply of the full range of technological solutions for the iron and steel, non-ferrous and ferrous alloy industries.

Mr Bunn said: 'There are considerable opportunities to be seized upon in the engineering design and project management arenas.

“Nortech Solutions has the necessary level of expertise to secure contracts within the energy, oil & gas, and iron and steel sectors and is well-placed to compete on a global-scale.”

He added: “The North East has been chosen as the location for Nortech Solutions’ head office because the energy, steel and process industries form the region’s industrial backbone, allied with the availability of highly skilled and experienced engineers.”
