Norden A/S Selects Veson Nautical's IMOS

Veson Nautical, a provider of maritime commercial management and trading software solutions, today announced that Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S (NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen A/S: DNORD), one of the oldest and most respected listed shipping companies in the world, has purchased Veson Nautical’s Integrated Maritime Operations System (IMOS). Veson Nautical’s IMOS software will now manage chartering, operations, and voyage accounting related functions for NORDEN’s modern fleet of 210 dry cargo and product tanker vessels.

NORDEN A/S, an independent shipping company incorporated in Denmark, was founded and listed in 1871, making it one of the world’s globally operating listed shipping companies. NORDEN operates both dry bulk and product tanker vessels: 210 vessels in total with 35 vessels on order. The company is headquartered in Hellerup (Denmark) with additional offices in Singapore, Shanghai, China, Annapolis, MD, USA, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Mumbai, India.  NORDEN employs nearly 300 office staff and about 800 people work on the company’s owned vessels. Veson Nautical’s IMOS software will also now manage chartering, operations, etc. in Norient Product Pool ApS, one of the world’s leading product tanker pools. Norient Product Pool is owned 50/50 by the founding partners; NORDEN and Interorient Navigation Company Ltd. of Cyprus. Operated from its head office in Denmark and its offices in Singapore, USA and Cyprus, Norient Product Pool manages approx. 75 product tankers.
