NMEA Names Reedenauer President, Executive Director

Mark Reedenauer has been promoted to president and executive director of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA), the gourp’s board of directors announced.

Reedenauer will be responsible for all operations and activities of NMEA, including playing a principal role in creating strategies for continued growth and standards development.
In his previous position as managing director, Reedenauer managed NMEA's day-to-day operations and served as primary liaison with the membership and marine industry. Prior to that as NMEA documentation specialist, he oversaw the Marine Electronics Installer programs and all NMEA technical standards, including NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 and the recently released 2014 edition of NMEA 0400 Version 4.00. Reedenauer joined NMEA in 2011 with 12 years of experience in the marine industry, including several years at Airmar as marketing manager and at Northstar as technical sales and support specialist.
