Havyard Power & Systems complete design work on its 'Havyard Concept Bridge'

Project Manager Svein Olav Tørresdal of Havyard Power & Systems has been heading the design and the development of this modern bridge concept, which has been done in close cooperation with the Nomek company , in Stryn, Norway.

“Concept Bridge ™” is developed for all types of vessels within offshore, fishing, seismology, cargo vessels and also for passenger ships.

We have spent one year developing this system and now we are finally there. The bridge concept is all about a more open, more secure and more functional bridge concept where you have everything within reach, without having to move around much at all in order to go from one operation to the next, Tørresdal points out.

Installation of the new system is far easier than previously as the new concept is constructed by different modules. The customer can actually pick exactly what modules he or she wishes to include in this concept, says Tørresdal, who would like to emphasize that the most important aspect of the new bridge concept is simply to make the voyage even safer.
