Global chart distributor Nautisk has opened a new office in Aberdeen.
Peter J. Pran, Nautisk Head of Global Sales, said the new headquarters will build on Nautisk’s offering to the oil and gas sector in Norway, as well as offering a link to customers operating in the U.K. and Northern Europe.
He added, “Aberdeen is at the center of the oil and gas sector, as well as shipping and offshore. We have recognized that local market potential here is huge and because of our agility, we are able to adapt to individual customer needs and support them from this new office.”
Lloyd Ferguson has been appointed Key Account Manager for the U.K. Ferguson, who joins the company from Thomas Gunn Navigation where he worked as Global Commercial Manager, will coordinate customer accounts and support operational business needs.
“As you would expect, growing sales within the region is high on our priority list,” Ferguson said, “but before that, we need to determine what the needs are of the local market, expand agreements with current customers and demonstrate our intent to continue to grow the business globally. The fact that we have opened this new office is a clear demonstration of our commitment to the area, and we need to ensure that we remain focused and realistic.”
