Metabo Welcomes Seasoned Marketing Manager

Responsible for marketing, advertising and sales promotions.


 
Metabo Corporation, an  international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, announced it has hired Jere L. Geib, Jr. as its new marketing manager.  Geib will be responsible for marketing, advertising, and sales promotions as well as supporting the development efforts for the company’s distribution channel.


 
Martin Cross, president of Metabo, noted, “Over the past 16 years, Jere has held an array of positions in the field of marketing and communications.  As a result, he brings well-rounded experience to our team and company.  His vast knowledge of sales, marketing and communications will help us develop strategies to meet the changing needs of our customers as well as our sales network.”


 
Geib commented, “Being a best-in-class power tool manufacturer for almost nine decades is no small feat.  Metabo has continually demonstrated exceptional product development and engineering.  There are significant opportunities to show our customers the productivity and cost benefits of our tools, and I’m excited to share in that venture.”


 
Before joining Metabo, Geib was the director of marketing for Translogistics, Inc., Birdsboro, Pa., where he served as a member of the executive management team developing and executing strategic marketing, business and development plans for the company.
 


Prior to that, he held various marketing and public relations positions for a variety of global electronics manufacturers and distributors including Tyco Electronics, Phoenix Contact, TVC Communications and Harsco Corporation.


 
Geib holds a B.A. in Communications with concentrations in Public Relations and Corporate Media from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pa.
