Aberdeenshire-based Ferguson Group has appointed David Mair to its executive team as group sales and business development director.
Mair has more than 20 years’ experience across sales, commercial management, business acquisition and strategic development within the international oil and gas industry, working for E&P companies and major service contractors. He is currently on the Board of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and will continue to be based in Aberdeen.
Richard Smith, CEO of Ferguson Group said, “David’s experience in the formation and execution of the sales strategy will facilitate our continuing growth, alongside our recent appointments of Laurent Letestu as Chief Financial Officer, Julia McGlashan as HR. Director, Hayley Yule as Marketing Director and Gary Wilson as Managing Director of our U.K. rentals business.”
Smith continued, “2014 was a busy year for us, as we extended our range of tanks, secured a number of important contracts and opened our new base in Australia. We have increased our reach into a number of key markets most notably in South East Asia and expect this to continue in 2015.
“Strengthening our international presence to better meet the global requirements of our customers is a key part of our strategy and our capability to deliver this has been significantly enhanced now that we are part of the Brambles Group.”
