Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), a maritime and logistics service provider, and Maersk Line has expanded their coverage in Papua New Guinea by adding new ports of call in Madang and Wewak. Both ports complement the existing coverage provided at Port Moresby and Lae.
MCC Sandiwa was the first container ship to be welcomed by Madang and Wewak. The vessel, with a capacity of 1,118 TEU, made her inaugural port call into Madang on Tuesday 7 March, before making a direct visit to Wewak two days later. Captain Jay Sedan and his crew treated guests to tours around the vessel at both ports, to celebrate the new port calls.
