MacGregor, part of Cargotec, and Maersk Line, part of the Maersk Group, have agreed to cooperate on the development of the next generation of container securing systems. MacGregor, leading provider of cargo and load handling solutions, and Maersk have had a cooperation within securing systems since the container ship sizes started to grow from feeder sizes to the present ultra-large container ships.

"Maersk Line is the world's leading container shipping company, with operations in all parts of the world. We are very happy to be able to extend our cooperation in the development of our container securing systems," says Leif Byström, Senior Vice President, Cargo Handling Division, MacGregor. "I am convinced that this will benefit both parties, as the ship sizes continue to grow with increasing efficiency requirements."

"MacGregor has a long history as leading supplier of container securing systems. We are committed to offering our customers competitive ocean transportation, and extending our cooperation with MacGregor will contribute to our continued success in this," says Ole Graa Jakobsen, Vice President, Head of Technical Operations, Maersk Line.
