In March 2020, Konecranes announced it won its largest-ever reach stacker contract, from a customer in Germany. The order for 39 reach stackers was won with Konecranes’ distributor Richter Fördertechnik GmbH & Co. KG. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q3 2020 and run until Q1 2021.

The contract is for the delivery of 39 Konecranes SMV 2216 TC3 reach stackers with modifications to allow for the stacking of 22-ton, 16-ton and 6-ton containers.

“This was a long-negotiated contract that involved many people across the organization, and we are pleased with the result and grateful for the work done with our partner, Richter Fördertechnik GmbH & Co. KG,” said Ralf Gowin, Sales Manager Germany for Konecranes Lift Trucks.
