Press Release
Friday, May 10, 2013

E2open selected by Konecranes, as its collaborative execution platform, which has gone live with Konecranes’ supply base.

The E2open Business Network provides Konecranes and its suppliers with a cloud-based multi-enterprise platform for automated information exchange, collaborative order and inventory management, and real-time insight into supplier commitments and issue resolutions.

“We have already onboarded over a fifth of our major suppliers in less than two months, which is ahead of our plan. The response from our suppliers has been very positive using collaborative processes.”

One of our strategic cornerstones for a global demand-driven supply chain is real-time communication between us and our suppliers,” said Pekka Lettijeff, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Konecranes. “Having better visibility enables early identification of any issues that could potentially impact our customer promise dates. The E2open Business Network enables us to work collaboratively with our suppliers to improve supply assurance, shorten lead times, reduce inventory levels, and most importantly, meet the high expectations of our customers.”

The E2open Business Network provides Konecranes and its suppliers with a single, real-time view of inventory and operations, enabling improved responsiveness and risk management and helping to reduce latencies and miscommunications. Konecranes is also able to perform collaborative order and inventory management to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and reliably, while minimizing costs and maximizing revenues. Pre-configured workflows and customizable analytics and reports support decision making and execution.
