Kiswire’s New Plant for Offshore Ropes

Kiswire is building a new plant for the production of very large wire ropes for Offshore and Mining applications. The Neptune 2 plant is located in Tanjung Langsat, on the sea coast in Johor, Malaysia and will be operational autumn 2011. The equipment installed is capable of manufacturing wire rope units of 600 metric tons in non rotating, multi strand constructions. Furthermore, six strand wire rope units of 300 tons and eight strand units of 400 tons shall be produced in this factory. The output capacity of Neptune 2 will be 35,000 metric tonnes per annum. This number comes in addition of the existing Neptune 1 plant output of 25,000 tonnes each year.
