Kalmar, part of Cargotec, will organise a idea creation challenge, Kalmar Co-Create, during TOC Europe that will take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

The two-day event organised on 12-13 June 2018 aims to discover disruptive ideas to specific customer challenges in container handling industry through co-creation with terminal operators, solution providers and development partners.
"We at Kalmar want to shape the industry through promoting openness and collaboration. We have invited three teams from our partner network to work on specific customer pains. TOC Europe provides us with a great opportunity to bridge together our customers, best-in-class service designers and solution developers with Kalmar's competence and experience in order to seek for new solutions to serve the needs of our customers. By bringing together experts with different backgrounds, we expect to co-create novel concept proposals that have potential to shape our industry. Each of the teams will be supported by a Kalmar mentor who will help conduct customer interviews and guide the teams during the challenge," says Lasse Eriksson, Vice President, New Service Business Concepts at Kalmar.
The partner companies invited in Kalmar Co-Create are Futurice, Gofore and Cybercom, who all are Finnish experts of digital services development. Futurice creates digital services for people to love.
Gofore is a digitalisation specialist offering modern services that help operators in the private and public sectors to face digital change. Cybercom is an IT consulting company enabling companies and organisations to benefit from the opportunities of the connected world and to enhance their competitiveness.
"Our partners have deep knowledge of service design, digital technologies and concept creation, and combining that with Kalmar's expertise in container handling during the most significant annual event of the industry gives us a unique setup for co-creation and exploration of new solutions. Together we can shape the future of our industry," Lasse Eriksson concludes.
