Intermarine Names Ferguen as Chartering Manager

Intermarine, LLC, a leader in the transport of project, breakbulk and heavylift cargo, has named Samir Ferguen as Chartering Manager – Europe. Ferguen rejoins Intermarine from Nordana. He will be based in Naestved, Denmark.
In his new role, Ferguen will be responsible for developing and maintaining commercial chartering relationships throughout Europe. Additionally, he will manage the negotiation of contracts for vessels and cargoes; and oversee the training of commercial employees and trainees. 
      
Ferguen has more than eight years of international experience in the heavylift and project cargo chartering markets. He began his career with Scan-Trans prior to the Intermarine merger. While with Intermarine he served in chartering roles located in Denmark, Kuala Lumpur and Houston. His formal training includes completing Scan-Trans’ four-year trainee-program and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers courses.
While with Nordana he led the European chartering department by managing all commercial activities for the European market. His strengths lie in business development, contract negotiation and managing profitable voyages.
