Anglo-Eastern has announced the confirmation of Chief Executive Officer, Capt. Bjorn Hojgaard, as Chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA).

His appointment follows a two-year tenure as the association’s Deputy Chairman, and is the second time in HKSOA history for a non-shipowner to take the helm.

Capt. Bjorn Hojgaard said: “As a major trade association representing the local shipping industry, the HKSOA always strives to promote its members’ interests and augment Hong Kong’s role as a leading maritime center, which I am committed to furthering in tandem with shaping a better maritime future.”

Capt. Hojgaard succeeds Oak Maritime’s Jack Hsu as Chairman of the HKSOA, while Wellington Koo of Valles Steamship was named Deputy Chairman.
