July 29, 2014 marked a safety milestone for Hertel Offshore (NL), indicating five years without a Lost Time Incident.
Hertel expresses its appreciation to all company employees, customers, partners and subcontractors for contributing to this achievement. Cooperation between all parties involved has been vital for Hertel to provide safe and reliable services in the Offshore industry.
Hertel said it places safe working conditions at the forefront of each task by providing the right training and support, which is key in maintaining and improving safety performance, along with the right HSE mentality within the organization as a whole. Since day one, Hertel has designated safety as a core company value. In 2013, Hertel introduced their Target Zero approach worldwide, contributing to the company’s vision to continuously operate globally in a safe and responsible manner while respecting the health and safety of employees, contractors, customers, the communities and the environment in which they operate.
Jean Paul van Hecke, Hertel Offshore HSE Manager, said, “Working five years without a LTI is truly a team effort. It demonstrates everyone’s commitment and safety awareness. The challenge going forward is how we build upon this success in our “Target Zero” journey.”
Robert Jan Dubbeldam, Hertel Offshore Regional Managing Director, added, “This achievement is one everyone in Hertel Offshore can be proud of. We should be constantly wary in our daily work, after all, we work safely or we don’t work. It is our joint responsibility to maintain our high standards.”
