Hansa Heavy Lift Opens 2 New Offices

Hansa Heavy Lift announced the continuation of its global expansion program with new offices in Brazil and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as well as the appointment of a new commercial agent in Colombia.
    
The new office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is headed by Marcello Marano, Business Development Manager, while the office in Dubai, UAE will be managed by Torben Ottermann.
    
The global tramp shipping line has also appointed 3 Oceans SAS as its agent in Colombia, based in Cartagena and headed by Luis E. Cavelier, General Manager.
    
“Latin America and the Middle East are both important markets for Hansa Heavy Lift and it is our aim to have expert teams with local knowledge wherever we are in the world,” said Joerg Roehl, Chief Commercial Officer, Hansa Heavy Lift.
    
“Our expansion into these regions complements our existing regional office structure and allows us to focus even more on dealing with any business opportunities locally and in real time, which ensures the safe and on-time delivery of our customers’ cargo.”
    
The new office in Rio de Janeiro will support Hansa Heavy Lift’s existing office in Sao Paulo and will focus on opportunities in the oil and gas and energy markets in Latin America, the company said.
    
With the opening of the Dubai office, the company said it takes advantage of growing opportunities in the infrastructure, offshore, and oil and gas markets within the Middle East.
    
In addition to the new offices in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil and Dubai/UAE, Hansa Heavy Lift also has offices in Monaco, Singapore, Perth/Australia, Shanghai/China, Sao Paulo/Brazil, Houston/USA, and its headquarters in Hamburg/Germany. The exclusive agents in Colombia, Denmark, the UK, Argentina, Canada as well as South Korea are also part of Hansa’s global expansion.
