Hamburg Süd Opens Office in India

Hamburg Süd announced the opening of an office in Gandhidham, India, on October 1, 2014. It is the second branch office in the state of Gujarat. Hamburg Süd already has three offices in Mumbai, New Delhi and Ahmedabad.

Effective October 1, 2014, Ahmedabad and Gandhidham office will take over all commercial activities including marketing and sales, customer order management and day-to-day operations in Gujarat from Seabridge Maritime Agency. Paresh Kataria will head the Gandhidham branch office.

Hamburg Süd has its weekly Europe Pakistan India (EPIC) service calling Mundra port every Wednesday and Asia India (ASIP) service calling Pipavav port every Tuesday. The port operations in Mundra and Pipavav will remain with Seabridge Maritime Agency.
