Grupo Modelo Names ZIM 'Carrier of the Year'

Grupo Modelo SA, Mexico, producers of Corona beer, part of the AB INBEV Group, the largest beer producer in the world, chose ZIM as Carrier of the Year in its annual award ceremony, held in Mexico city in April.

The award is given to outstanding carriers based on several service criteria, including customer service, availability and quality of containers, management involvement and transit time. ZIM received perfect score in most categories.

Grupo Modelo SA, Mexico, ships with ZIM in the Mexico to Mediterranean and Black Sea trade, as well as intra-Caribbean lanes.

Karin Levy, ZIM VP Central American & Caribbean District, said, “We are happy to receive this affirmation by a major customer, and will continue to invest in our customer relations and improve our customer interface, as part of ZIM’s long-term strategy. Customers appreciate the personal care from local representative, and ZIM’s approach, combining local touch with global knowledge, proves successful.”
