Global Maritime Appoints Norway Regional Manager

 Global Maritime Consultancy & Engineering, a provider of marine warranty, dynamic positioning and engineering services to the offshore sector, has appointed Mikal Grure Eie as Regional Manager for Norway. Mikal’s brief will to develop closer customer relationships and drive new business development opportunities throughout Norway - a key market for Global Maritime.

Mikal has spent over 10 years in the offshore sector. Previous roles include support with the construction of the Hywind floating wind farm and other wind power projects as well as on oil and gas fields, such as Visund, Oseberg, and Gullfaks. Mikal has also worked as a management consultant developing and improving organizational performance for major regional and global organizations in the offshore industry, including Statoil, ENI and Seadrill. 
Prior to joining Global Maritime in January 2013, Mikal was Business Development Manager at DNV GL, the world's leading classification society and a recognized advisor for the maritime industry. At Global Maritime, his positions have included Business Development Leader and Head of Strategy & Commercial where he was responsible for managing the commercial team and setting the business direction of the company.
Mikal has an M.Sc in Industrial Management and a BA in Energy Management Engineering from the University of Agder.
