New General Manager Joins Barrus

E. P. Barrus Ltd announced the appointment of Ben Allen as General Manager for the Marine Leisure Division.

Ben will be responsible for the brands of Mariner and Mercury outboard engines and the range of Quicksilver boats.

Ben brings experience from sales and business management roles and has been responsible for setting up a successful businesses of his own. Prior to joining Barrus, Ben was employed as the UK Sales and Marketing Manager for Sterling Power Products, a supplier of power management systems to the marine and commercial vehicle markets. He was responsible for expanding the business of existing coastal and inland waterways accounts and developing business into new industry sectors.

Ben has grown up in the boating world and has achieved the qualification as one of the youngest RYA instructors in the UK. He also delivered training standards and programs for the Fire and Rescue service and the Independent Lifeboat Associations for the UK wide flood response project.
