Royal Caribbean's Splendour of the seas experience a fire in one of its engine rooms, but luckily the incident was contained with minor injuries and no apparent damage to the ship.

Royal Caribbean says: "The fire was contained and extinguished, with all systems functioning.  There were no reported injuries to guests or crew. "
The fire, which occurred in one of the ship's two engine rooms, broke out while the ship was at sea around 8 a.m. October 22, en route to Argostoli, Greece. The ship's fire suppression system was activated, containing and extinguishing the fire.
Passengers on lower decks were evacuated in what the line called an "abundance of caution." All passengers have been released from muster and allowed back into their cabins.
There were no deaths and the cruise line claims that there were no injuries.
Royal Caribbean tweeted: "Splendou rOf The Seas experienced a fire this morning in 1 of its engine rooms. Fire was contained & extinguished, all systems are functioning."
Splendour of the Seas skipped its scheduled port of call at Argostoli and is en route to Venice. The ship was nearing the end of a seven-night sailing that departed Venice on October 17.
