In a move to expand its presence in the European energy markets, Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 certified offshore containers, refrigeration/freezer modules, engineering modules and accommodation solutions to the global offshore energy industry, is expanding its European operations with a new Dutch Partner.

Norsco Oilfield Services operates from a base in Ter Apel  in the heart of Northern Europe. Bert Platje has extensive experience in the global energy industry, having worked all over the globe, including the U.S. Norsco Oilfield Services was formed out of BMS Development , founded in 2004, selling eco-friendly chemicals to the oil and gas industry. Norsco was established to offer a broader portfolio of services. The chemicals provided are designed to be used offshore to render drill cuttings nontoxic.  As providers of containers and tanks that can transport and store chemicals, amongst other items, the Ferguson Group range was a natural fit.

Platje said, “In the energy industry, time is money and it is imperative to have good quality equipment to work with to minimise downtime.  Ferguson Group’s rental containers, tanks, accommodation and workspaces have DNV GL accreditation and this makes them ideal to provide high quality, reliable logistic support to the offshore industry.”

The new business will also be near a transport hub, making transport throughout Europe simpler than ever.

Graham Donnelly, Partnership Development Manager, Ferguson Group said “We are delighted with this new partnership with Norsco and are making an investment in providing a large container and tank fleet.  We look forward to a long and profitable partnership.”

As part of the new agreement, Norsco will also be offering IceBlue Refrigeration offshore containers, and Ferguson Group accommodation and workspace modules, that are used in the oil, gas and renewables industries.
