Classification services provider to the global marine and offshore industries ABS has expanded its captive delivery center in Pune, India with a move to the new Tech Park One location in order to accommodate the addition of professional software developers who will expedite product development.
According to Anindya Talukdar, ABS Managing Director in Pune, ABS has built a knowledge base and leadership in Pune, where software engineers not only code and support earlier versions of the software, but are developing web and mobile versions of NS Enterprise using newer tools and technologies. “We are excited about our local growth and the opportunity to recruit top technology personnel to support our innovation, data analytics, data governance, development, quality analysis, customer support and global consulting opportunities,” he said.
Increasing global demand for NS software has led to the strategic decision to grow the ABS India operation, said Howard Fireman, Nautical Systems President and Chief Technology Officer of ABS. “The marine and offshore industries seek software that improves efficiency, easily enables compliance in an increasingly complex regulatory environment and is accessible on desktop and mobile devices,” he explained. “Our aggressive product development plan includes expanding our global footprint to meet this growing need, and the Pune office expansion is a critical part of that process.”
