Evergreen, China Shipping Between Asia and Pac NW

October 13, 2009-Evergreen Line and China Shipping will commence a joint weekly service linking ports in Asia to locations in the American and Canadian Pacific Northwest. The two lines say that the purpose of the new service is to use mutual slots more efficiently and share resources to provide more convenient and economic transpacific routing.

Calling ports include those in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, U.S. and Canada. The rotation will be: Ningbo-Shanghai-Kaohsiung-Nansha-Hong Kong-Yantian-Pusan-Tacoma-Seattle-Vancouver-Tokyo-Osaka-Ningbo.

The PNW service will be operated with six ships of 5,500 TEU with each carrier contributing three vessels.  The service will commence on October 14, 2009 from Ningbo with the ship Ever Unicorn.
