Lloyd's Register North America will hold the “Essential Dry-Docking” Marine training course from June 18-20, 2013 at the Lloyd's Register office in Plantation, Fla. near Ft. Lauderdale.
The three-day course will provide the essential information needed to successfully prepare, plan, and execute a comprehensive Dry-Docking and draws on Lloyd’s Register’s expertise and knowledge derived through more than 250 years of experience and involvement in shipping.
Lloyd’s says the course is suitable for anyone contemplating becoming a superintendent involved in planning a docking and for existing superintendents, technical managers, fleet managers and senior sea staff.
Delegates receive a certificate upon successful completion of an assessment.
Course Objectives:
• Be able to prepare, plan and cost a dry-docking
• Have a more in depth knowledge of dry-docking
• Be able to form a contingency plan for repairs and modifications
• Be more pragmatic and understand what can and cannot be done within the rules of classification
