Developing Alaska's Marine Workforce Luncheon

NAMEPA (North American Marine Environment Protection Association) and the University of Alaska will host a free "Developing Alaska's Marine Workforce" leadership roundtable luncheon on Friday, February 14 at The Captain Cook in Anchorage.

Discussions will focus on industry strategies for moving forward to secure Alaska's future needs for an educated and trained workforce are met. Feature presentations include a recap of the 2012 meeting, University of Alaska updates on the FSMI (Alaska's Fisheries, Seafood, Maritime Initiative) Workforce Development Plan and trends in education and training. The event will convene at 11 a.m. and end at 2 p.m., with a working lunch served during our time together. Registration space is space is limited.
