DeepOcean has secured a contract with BG Group for inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) work on the British operator’s subsea assets off the UK and Norway.

The Norwegian contractor will use vessels from its North Sea-based fleet to carry out work under the five-year deal, for which a value was not disclosed.
"The five year contract covers all ROV-based IMR work for BG Group on UK and Norwegian subsea assets. DeepOcean will use vessels from its North Sea based fleet," says a statement from the company.
“IMR is one of our main service lines and building upon our strong position in the Norwegian subsea market, we are successful in tailoring our IMR solutions to our Clients’ specifications and high expectations of cost efficient operations.”, says Ottar Mæland, DeepOcean’s EVP Greater North Sea.
"BG Group has been on our list of potential new Clients for some time now, and we are very pleased that we have succeeded in winning their trust in our capacity and capabilities. We are confident that we will bring cost effective and innovative solutions to the UK market," he added.
