Dachser USA Names New Director of Ocean Freight; Barbasetti di Prun Brings Expertise in International Supply Chain Management

Dachser Transport of America Inc. (Dachser USA), the U.S. division of one of the world's leading global logistics service providers, today announced it has appointed John Barbasetti di Prun Director of Ocean Freight for the United States.
 
In his new role, Mr. Barbasetti di Prun will oversee all ocean freight forwarding operations for Dachser USA's growing client base. Dachser has recorded very strong growth in the United States, with sales increasing to more than US$108 million last year. U.S. companies are attracted to Dachser's extensive international logistics network backed by strong management experience and a family-based approach to the business.

"John brings deep experience in supply chain management to our company that will add tremendous value for our ocean freight customers."
 
Mr. Barbasetti di Prun joins Dachser USA from Geodis Wilson USA, where he was a member of the company's U.S. management team. He led the formation of a group at Geodis that served as a single point of contact for global accounts to help manage supply chains worldwide. Before that, he was an account executive with Mediterranean Shipping Company, one of the world's largest ocean carriers. He also has served in various management positions at international freight forwarders in New York and Italy.
