New Ro-Ro Connection: Houston – S. America W. Coast

NYK Line's new roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) service, 'NYK Chile Express', connects Houston with the west coast of South America from July 24, 2013.

The service adds a call to the Port of Houston Authority's Turning Basin terminals -- the cornerstone of the nation's No. 1 seaport in handling project and breakbulk cargo.

The new service will include direct calls to South American ports in Ecuador, Chile and Peru, as well as Manzanillo, Panama. Each of the four countries ranks among the Port of Houston's top 15 trading partners.

The port rotation will be: Baltimore, Md. Jacksonville, Fla. Houston, Vera Cruz, Manzanillo, Guyaquil, Callao, Iquique, and San Antonio, Chile.
