ZIM-MSC Connecting India and East Mediterranean Ports

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services (ZIM) and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company have announced a new cooperation on the India sub-continent – Mediterranean trade. The new cooperation is due to commence on the second half of October, connecting India and major East Mediterranean ports.  

A press statement from the company said: "We are pleased to announce a new cooperation, offering a fast and reliable connection between the sub-continent and the Mediterranean."

Rani Ben-Yehuda, ZIM’s EVP Cross Suez and Atlantic BU, said: “Our new offering creates an excellent coverage and reliable service between the Indian subcontinent and major East Mediterranean ports, catering to market’s needs.”

The new cooperation is as follows: ZII – ZIM India Israel Service with the following rotation:  Nhava Sheva - Mundra - Haifa (west bound only) and ZIE – ZIM India East Med Express with the following rotation:  Mundra - Nhava Sheva – Colombo - Port Said West – Mersin – Piraeus- Istanbul – Mersin – Iskenderun– Mundra.

This new alignment is a major enhancement for ZIM customers on the trade, benefiting from a wide range of direct calls and improved transit time along with ZIMs renowned personal dedicated customer service.
