Chinese Damen Partner Shipyard Gets Pontoon Orders

Damen places 4 more orders with its Chinese partner yard, Nantong Yahua Shipbuilding.

Damen Shipyards signed the contracts for two Damen Stan Pontoon type 4113, intended for the Australian market, in the presence of some 1,500 workers, suppliers & customer representatives. The two pontoons will be finished in February 2013.

Also a contract was signed for a Damen Stan Lander 5915 for Smit Lamnalco, who will use the Landing Craft vessel for the Shell project in Gabon and is scheduled to be finished at the end of 2013.


Last but not least a contract was signed for Damen’s new customer AG&P for construction of a Module Offloading pontoon of 140 x 40 meters which will be used as a transition pontoon for a huge LNG project in Australia. This pontoon has high ballast capacities and is due to be delivered by the end of 2013.
