Dan-Bunkering (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. Shanghai Rep. Office announced that as of May 1, 2015 Alex Qin has taken up the position of Chief Representative at the office in Shanghai.

Qin started as a Bunker Trader at the company’s head office in Middelfart, Denmark, in 2006 after taking an M.Sc. in Finance and International Business at a Danish university. He was later on promoted Senior Bunker Trader & Team Leader giving him, among other things, the responsibility of the team of Chinese traders based in the office in Middelfart.

Qin is replacing Søren Pedersen, the previous Chief Representative at the Shanghai office since 2007, who has relocated to Singapore to take up a position as Managing Director within the Dan-Bunkering group.

Furthermore, Yong Geng, who also started his career as a Bunker Trader in Middelfart, has joined Alex Qin in relocating to Dan-Bunkering’s Shanghai office as per May 1, 2015 after spending three years in the head office in Denmark. The relocation is expected to allow Geng to advance his career within bunker trading even further as he is now situated in the very center of his particular focus area; i.e. the Chinese and South East Asian markets.
