Chet Morrison Names New Marine Construction GM

Chet Morrison Contractors recently announced the hiring of industry veteran Michael Brown as General Manager of Marine Construction. Brown has 35 years of experience in the commercial diving industry, most recentlyan eight-year tenure as Vice President and General Manager for EPIC, the commercial diving business unit of TETRA.

Brown is an active member of several industry associations and committees, including the National Offshore Safety Advisory Committee (NOSAC) where he is serving a three-year term as Offshore Diving Representative. He has also served on the board of directors of the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) for more than 20 years and during that time has served four terms as President and 16 years as Chapter Chairman of the Gulf Coast for ADCI.

He began his career as a tender in 1977, and has since held positions at all levels of the offshore industry, from diver all the way to vice president. Brown has also delivered presentations to industry audiences and written a number of articles for trade journals.
