Chabahar Port Builds LPG Storage Tanks

The operationalizing of three investment projects will begin in Shahid Beheshti port of Chabahar this week, said a communication from the Iran government.

Behrooz Aghaee, Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, announced the operationalization of three investment projects with the presence of the deputies of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and members of the board of directors of the Ports and Maritime Organization at Shahid Beheshti port of Chabahar.

Three investment projects of construction of oil products reservoirs, LPG storage tanks and ship waste collection, with a total investment of over 1,700 billion Rials (USD 40 million), provides direct employment for more than 100 people.

One of these projects is the construction of B.O.T oil products reservoirs, which will be invested with 980 billion Rials (USD 23 million) and a capacity of 1 million 260 thousand tons.

This is a 20-year-project with the aim of exploiting the regional potentials of the Chabahar port for sale, processing and refining and transfer of oil and gas to the domestic and foreign markets.
