Braemar Announcement - Tony Pegum

Press Release
Tuesday, May 10, 2011

After 27 years of dedicated service Tony Pegum, Managing Director of Braemar Seascope Pty Ltd, has decided to leave the company and shipbroking.

Tony has been a great servant to the shipbroking industry both in Australia and internationally. He is a key figure in Perth assisting Western Australian mining and resources companies with shipping advice and broking services. Tony has been pivotal in the success of Braemar's operations in such an important part of the world.

Tony leaves the company in excellent shape and has created a team which we can be proud of and which will continue to provide a first class service to our existing and potential clients' expectations.

James a'Beckett, based in our Melbourne office, will take over from Tony as Managing Director. Peter Malpas, Director, will assume responsibility for the Perth office.

Tony's last day with us will be Friday 1st July. Tony's future plans are still forming but he hopes to remain involved in the shipping industry in some way or another.

I would like to thank Tony for all his hard work, enthusiasm and professionalism during his time with Braemar over the last seven years and acknowledge his previous contribution to the formation of Seawise and establishing South West Chartering in Western Australia. We will miss his knowledge and experience. The directors and colleagues wish Tony and his family every success in his future ventures.
