Wisconsin’s H.O. Bostrom Company, Inc. is one of three statewide recipients of the 2016 Governor’s Export Achievement Award, which recognizes their success in global business development.

The awards honor businesses that have achieved significant growth or implemented innovative strategies in exporting. Nominees were evaluated on measurable export growth, innovation and contributions to the state’s overall economy and trade development.
“These three businesses exemplify the type of success that many Wisconsin businesses are achieving by entering or expanding in overseas markets,” said Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. “With 95 percent of the world’s population located outside of the United States, exporting provides tremendous opportunities for Wisconsin companies of all industries and all sizes.”
In 65 countries spanning five continents, H.O. Bostrom provides seating solutions for vehicles and equipment in industries such as fire (FireFighter brand), marine (SeaPost brand), construction, transportation and other niche markets. By offering complete design, engineering, fabrication and assembly of seating systems and components, the company offers customers the advantage of single sourcing all of their seating requirements. In 2016, H.O. Bostrom celebrates its 70th year as a family-owned and -operated business.
“Receiving this award is a testament to our company’s dedication to innovative product designs, high quality and exceptional customer care,” said Paul Bostrom, vice president of sales and marketing. “Customers throughout the world trust us and rely on our products, which are all made by a third-generation, family-owned business with talented and dedicated employees right here in Wisconsin. We would like to express gratitude to the various Wisconsin organizations as well such as WEDC and WMEP for their support in helping us capitalize on exporting opportunities.”
