GT USA, operators of Canaveral Cargo Terminal, has expanded its supply chain capabilities to serve shipping lines, along with domestic customers, with the addition of more than 40,000 square feet of covered storage now available at the Marlin Street Warehouse at Port Canaveral.

The facility serves as a secure location for general warehousing, providing a full range of logistics services, including trucking, cross docking, storage and inventory control and last mile distribution. Located at 9001 Marlin Street, Unit A in Port Canaveral, just minutes off I-95 and only 45 minutes from Orlando and Central Florida, the recently renovated warehouse features three drive-in doors, six tailgate truck doors, new paving and an updated office space. The warehouse is in the process of becoming bonded. GT USA is leasing the facility from the Canaveral Port Authority.

GT USA has partnered with Avalon Wheeler Freight Services LLC (AWFS) to manage and operate the warehouse. AWFS and affiliated companies have more than 20 years of experience in domestic and international warehouse operations and logistics. The warehouse will be utilized for international cargoes transiting through GT USA’s Canaveral Cargo Terminal, as well as for domestic cargoes.

GT USA’s Canaveral Cargo Terminal is able to turn around cargo between Port Canaveral and the Orlando area within one to two hours, the fastest transit time when compared to other container terminals in the state. StreamLines, N.V., part of the Seatrade Group, recently launched its new Blue Stream container service with Canaveral Cargo Terminal as its only U.S. port of call. The service ships refrigerated and dry cargo between Port Canaveral, Europe, the French West Indies and Central America.
